QUEERING THE MUSEUM: AN LGBTQIA+ TOUR

The WA Chapter of Queers In Science has organized two private tours of this sold out event on April 21st, 2021 at 6:00 pm and 7:15 pm as an opportunity to bring our community together to celebrate diversity and learn more about the queer experience in Western Australia. The tour explores the representations of gender and sexual identities within the Museum's exhibitions and collections.
The cost of the tour is supported by seed funding for QiS through the Australian Academy of Sciences Theo Murphy Initiative. However, we ask that you consider donating to Deadly Science who provide science resources and early reading material to remote schools in Australia. We will be taking donations at the event, but you can also donate here We will meet at the WA Museum Boola Bardip at 5:45 pm for the 6:00 pm tour, and at 7:00 for the 7:15 pm tour. Please ensure you register for a tour slot as we have a limited capacity of 20 people/tour. Following the tour, come along and join us somewhere nearby (TBD) to continue the evening of networking and community building over some refreshments.
